Kitulgala
Kitulgala is situated south west of Kandy and north of Adam's Peak. The main attraction is the white water rafting on the river of Kelani. In the more calm part of the river swimming is possible. The rainforest is popular for hiking, being full of birds and butterflies. The location is known from David Lean's film "Bridge on the River Kwai" (1957)
